Great news!

Although there are many freaks to be commented on--ok the pope was old and is now dead, we get it---I have great news.

We are getting the boys. And soon. How soon exactly we don't know because the dss system is one big collection of freaks, but soon. We are painting and buying all kinds of neat star related things for their room. Not stars like famous people, the planetary kind. They have glow in the dark sheets which we just couldn't resist. So a theme was born. We painted their room dark blue and will be putting glow in the dark stars on the ceiling to go with the sheets. It is so much better than the Toy Story room we were considering.

I spent most of today calling foster parents, doctors, special ed. teachers, etc. They want you to have all the information about the kids before you totally commit. Which is ridiculous because short of hearing "they are convicted killers in little kid bodies" we are getting them. Luckily for us everyone said they are great and happy and loving and just basically the best. Both foster mothers said they would have considered keeping them if they didn't already have a ton of kids already.
Seriously, the woman who had the for the last 15 months has a 15, 12, special needs 9 year old and an infant. And she apologised for not having them potty trained. I told her she was a saint for taking such good care of them. I will get them potty trained soon enough.
