Things are moving right along
We have a schedule. Alex will move in on the 29. and Nick will move in two weeks later. we had an outing today with the boys, their social worker and nick's present foster mother to the mall. it was my second time meeting alex and our first time meeting nick. it was a big success. they are so cute and surprisingly well behaved. it is surprising considering how they have been described as being such a hand full. i think it is part of the process to almost see if they can discourage you. they were no more "trouble" than other kids i have taken care of considering their situation and delays. next saturday we start sleepovers. i can't wait.
and in keeping with the general theme of this blog--freaks--let me tell you that we watched punch drunk love tonight. let me preface this by saying i think adam sandler is a genius. i laugh just thinking about him. and i loved 50 first dates which wasn't a typical sandler vehicle. having said that, i would rather eat glass than have to sit through pdl again. i just thank all that is good that it was only 95 minutes long. it was unbearable. and to make it even worse the person who wrote the blurb on the dvd wrapper must not have seen the movie. all the major "plot" points were wrong. as a public service i am going straight to netflix now and put in my "2 cents" for the movie. do not under any circumstances watch this movie. i am seriously considering writing to adam and advising him to fire whoever told him that it would be good for him to make this piece of crap. i am hoping that the longest yard will redeem him for me. consider yourself warned.

How exciting! Too bad about the movie, though. The Girl and I watched a pretty bad one this weekend as well: When Will I Be Loved, with Neve Campbell. 3/4 of it was boring, without much clue as to what it was all leading to. Then in the last half-hour the actual story came to fruition.
