tomorrow is the big day.

today we visited nick for the first time at his foster home. he seemed glad to see us and was incredibly cute. spent most of the time bouncing a little basketball and kicking it under the deck to see which idiotic grownup would crawl under and get it for him. since that is one of my favorite pasttimes--having idiotic grownups do things for me, not kicking a basketball--we are going to get along great.

we were supposed to visit alex after that but when we got there noone was home. i am sure they were out and running late, but i have to admit that i briefly considered that they had kidnapped him and were at logan getting on a flight to whatever latin american country they are from. i need to get a grip. they will be there tomorrow and everything will go smoothly and we will have one of our little boys.

i just got the good news that i can work fri. and sat. overnight and one other to be determined by when they need me. that means that we will only have one morning a week that we need before school coverage for. every other day i will be there so the boss can go to work. i am secretly hoping that the gods will smile upon me and we will be able to afford for me to work only two days, but the chances of that are slim to none. i would love to never have to work again. i definately wouldn't be one of those people who are interviewed after winning the lottery and say that they will continue to work at the factory and live in their trailor and just get some new naked lady mudflaps for their 1973 chevy pickup. there, see i was able to work freaks into this post without ragging all over the new pope.

speaking of which, i just read rogue slayer's post on the new pope and am even more discouraged than ever. he is 78 though..........
if i believed in hell i would be afraid for my accomodations in the hereafter, but i don't and i am not.

A fun twist on the basketball game would be to implant some sort of radio-controlled gizmo to the basketball, so you can continue the movement as the idiotic grownups are chasing it!
